What this is
The London Borough of Merton intends to procure a specialist Long Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) service to provide a full range of contraceptive options to women locally, above routine GP contraception. The service covers intra-uterine contraceptives (IUC/IUD/LNG-IUS) and sub-dermal implants (SDI), delivered in community settings with fitting, checking, monitoring, removal, counselling, aftercare and STI/chlamydia screening. This is an Intended Approach Notice following the Most Suitable Provider process under the Provider Selection Regime (Health Care Services Regulations 2023), and the Council expects to identify providers without a competitive tender.
