The Highland Council is establishing a Dynamic Purchasing System for Passenger Transport across the Highlands, covering 6 lots including dedicated school transport, local bus services, demand-responsive dial-a-bus, Additional Support Needs transport, and transport for looked-after children. The DPS may also include NHS Highland social care and patient transport. Estimated total value is £17 million over 10 years.

Who can bid

Suppliers must hold the relevant licences depending on the lot (D1 licence, PSV Operators Licence, Section 22 or Special Restricted PSV licence). PVG Scheme Membership and MOT certificates required. Employer's Liability and Public Liability insurance minimum £5m each. Minimum 3 years driving experience or Advanced driving qualification.
