What this is

Argyll and Bute Council is issuing a Request for Supplier Information (RFI) ahead of procuring Vehicle Counters and Speed Survey equipment. The existing traffic radar equipment (Black Cat, QFree/Drakewell) is approximately 10 years old and requires modernisation. The replacement system must deliver vehicle speed and gap analysis surveys in remote and urban settings, with IP67+ rating, improved remote access, better battery life and suitability for west of Scotland marine climate. RFI responses were due by 5pm 3 October 2025. A formal contract notice was anticipated 24 November 2025.
