Market Engagement - Landfill Gas Capture

What this is

North Ayrshire Council is conducting market engagement ahead of procuring landfill gas capture viability assessments at two historic closed landfill sites: Brodick Landfill Site on the Isle of Arran (closed 2006) and Nethermains Landfill Site near Irvine/Kilwinning (closed mid-2000s). The project is grant-funded by Scottish Government and must be completed by 31 March 2026. Market engagement questionnaire was to be returned by COB 24 September 2025. A formal contract notice was anticipated 13 October 2025 with award and commencement November 2025.
