What this is
NHS Lothian is procuring the replacement and installation of two linear accelerators (Linacs) at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre (Western General Hospital), as the existing equipment has reached end of life, under the Scottish Government's Radiotherapy Capital Equipment Replacement Programme (CERP). It is tendered as two lots, each awarded to a single supplier: Lot 1 (ED4) a linac matching/backing up LA6 (6 MV and 10 MV, including Flattening Filter Free); Lot 2 (ED5) a linac capable of on-line Adaptive Radiotherapy. The successful supplier acts as Prime Contractor for supply and installation.
