Specialist Assessment service for individuals with Complex Care needs

What this is

NHS Devon ICB intends to commission a specialist assessor service for individuals with complex care needs (learning disability and mental health cohort), with Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust and Cornwall and Isles of Scilly ICB also able to use the contract. The service requires registered professionals with detailed understanding of the CHC national framework to provide independent, face-to-face assessments and reviews, CHC DST assessments, and Best Interest considerations for a small number of complex or out-of-county placements, working alongside families and multi-agency organisations. Paid on a case-by-case basis, up to a maximum of GBP 51,000 per annum, over a 2-year term with an option to extend by up to 2 further years.
