What this is
The Ministry of Defence (via KBS Maritime / Supply Chain Systems) is procuring a Design & Build contract to upgrade and replace the power generation system at the Upper Harbour Ammunitioning Facility (UHAF), an explosives facility for transferring weaponry onto Royal Navy ships in Portsmouth. Scope includes replacing 4 generators, LV switchgear and switchboard, generator load bank, battery backup system, generator plant room and housing structure, and welfare facilities with associated mechanical and electrical services. The RIBA Stage 3 design will be novated for development to RIBA Stage 4. This is an initial expression-of-interest phase; qualifying suppliers will be invited to a final competition.

Who can bid

This is an initial qualification phase. Suppliers meeting the criteria of this phase will be invited to participate in a final competition. Specific evaluation weightings are not stated in the notice.
