Framework Agreement for Training Courses for Children's and Adults Social Care Teams

What this is

Powys County Council is establishing a Framework Agreement for the provision of social care training courses for its Adults and Children's services teams, funded by the Social Care Wales Workforce Development Programme (SCWWDP) grant. The Council is seeking suitably experienced and competent training providers to deliver these courses. The framework will run up to 5 years (1 April 2027 to 31 March 2032, extendable to 31 March 2035), with funding awarded annually in line with the grant allocation process and an annual delivery schedule set in January each year, giving providers at least 3 months' notice before each course is commissioned.

Who can bid

Open to suitably experienced and competent suppliers able to deliver social care training courses. SMEs and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprises (VCSE) are encouraged. Procurement is under the Light Touch special regime and is above threshold; Welsh devolved regulations apply.

Contract period

Framework of up to 5 years, from 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2032 (1+1+1), renewed annually, with extensions possible to 31 March 2035. Funding is awarded only on an annual basis subject to the SCWWDP grant allocation.
