Bryn Fawnog is a 60-hectare site, centred around grid reference SH 94016, leased to the RSPB by Natural Resources Wales (NRW). A former commercial forestry block planted on deep peat bordering the southern edge of the Berwyn Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), the site is now undergoing a programme of "Forest to Bog" restoration. This initiative aims to restore the area to a native bog habitat, delivering multiple benefits for nature, climate, and water.
