What this is

Groundwork North Wales is seeking an interpretation design consultant for the Clywedog Valley Project, a National Lottery Heritage Fund heritage scheme. The appointed consultant will finalise the RIBA stage 4 interpretation design, competitively tender the fabrication/fit-out and hardware, appoint and manage sub-contractors and installation, lead community co-creation (oral histories with volunteers and schools), create interpretation copy and graphics, and manage delivery through to snagging and close-out. The total budget for design and build is £106,550 (inclusive of VAT), with delivery from September 2026 to August 2030.

Respondents submit a max 10-page proposal: cover letter/experience (2pp), CV/biography (3pp), selected previous interpretation examples (3pp), fixed-price fee proposal with cost breakdown and VAT status (1pp), and two referees (1pp). Appropriate insurance cover required.
