Gremista Landfill, Lerwick, Shetland - Phase 3 Construction

What this is

Phase 3 construction of the Gremista Landfill extension at Lerwick, Shetland: primarily cut-and-fill earthworks, new haul roads, new surface-water drainage ditches, pipework, manholes and headwalls; a 500mm bentonite-enriched soil layer over the new landfill formation, a 2mm HDPE welded geomembrane basal liner, protection geotextile, leachate collection pipework and a 500mm clean-aggregate drainage/protection layer. Capping works to the existing Phase 2 area (1mm LLDPE welded geomembrane and restoration soils) are also included (CPV 45100000 / 45000000).
