What this is

The National Library of Scotland is seeking a supplier to supply, deliver, install, support and maintain a film scanner capable of creating digital copies of original films in 16mm, standard 8mm, super 8mm and 9.5mm gauges, with an option for 35mm. The equipment must handle film gently, including warped, brittle or perforation-damaged film, and capture and synchronise optical and magnetic sound. One film scanner plus supporting software and hardware is anticipated, to be operated at the Library's Kelvin Hall premises in Glasgow.
